BJP Chief Amit Shah is doing well, will be discharged soon: Reports

Today, a Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson informed that party chief Amit Shah is now fine and he is expected to discharge from the hospital within a day or two. Amit Shah was suffering from swine flu following which he was admitted to the hospital, the spokesperson said.

There have been no reports regarding what actually made BJP chief caught H1N1 influenza and neither the doctors in the hospital had mentioned anything about the same.

“Amit Shah Ji is doing well. He will be discharged in a day or two. Thank You, everyone, for your good wishes!”, Anil Baluni, spokesman of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party said in a tweet.

Health officials while interacting with the reporters conveyed that lower temperatures in northern India during this winter can be one of the major concerns and the reason behind swine flu cases are spiking in the region.

“Cases of seasonal swine flu in India go up during winters and this January the winter is proving particularly harsh,” said R. S. Taneja, the head of the medicine department at Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia hospital.

There have been reports that the officials from the National Centre for Disease Control noted 13,447 cases of H1N1 virus in the year 2018, while 38,811 people suffered from the disease in 2017.

Being a key lieutenant of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the second top member of Modi’s inner circle, Shah was admitted in the old private ward of the AIIMS hospital following complaints of chest congestion and breathing issues. Sources say that Union minister Piyush Goyal and other BJP leaders visited AIIMS on Wednesday night.

Talking about the health conditions of other party members, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley left for the United States for a medical check-up. Jaitley left for abroad earlier this week, and there are no reports regarding the health conditions of the minister.
